Where the information comes from
- Specifications come from the makers' own published product pages, and every figure in a guide links to the page it comes from.
- Guides and comparisons list their sources at the end of the page, with the date each one was checked.
- Before a page is published, every figure in it is matched against the source it cites; a figure the source does not state clearly is checked by a person.
What we do and do not claim
Square Verdict does not test machines hands-on. Our picks and comparisons are editorial judgements built on documented specifications, not measurements or test results.
When a maker's information is missing, unclear or contradictory, the guide says so, for example in a section called “What we could not confirm”, instead of filling the gap with an estimate.
We do not score machines or give them stars, and we do not quote customer reviews.
Prices change often, so the guides show no price: confirm the current price with the seller or dealer before you buy.
Corrections
If you find an error, write to us using the contact details on our About page. Tell us which page and which statement, and include a link to a source if you have one.
We check the statement against its source and against the maker's current information. If it is wrong or out of date, we correct the page, and its “Updated” date changes.
